About Us
Dingee Bush Nursing Centre (DBNC) opened it’s doors in 1923, and currently services areas from Mitiamo to Neilborough and Serpentine to Kamarooka.
Bush Nursing Centres are small non-bed primary health services that provide small rural and remote communities access to essential primary health and nursing services.
The Dingee Bush Nursing Centre is one of fifteen (15) Bush Nursing Centres in the State of Victoria.
DBNC works with other health and human service agencies to create a seamless and responsive emergency and primary care service within the context of broader health services to achieve an empowered, engaged and resilient community in Dingee and neighbouring surrounds.
Run by paid staff and the Board of Management, we are funded through the Victorian Government, grants, community donations and memberships. The Dingee Centre has grown from a small cottage to the viable Centre you see today. By being a member of DBNC you will have access to a range of services.
Registered nurses employed in Victorian Bush Nursing Centres are trained as Remote Area Nurses (RANs), and provide emergency care to patients as 000 co-responders with Ambulance Victoria.
